When you installed you need to press the "open apearence prefs". Then you need to set the opacity to 50% and the maximum width to 64px.

It just doesn't work anymore because I made this style for an older version of Adium (years ago).

If there are too many people online you can change the dock size by adjusting "icon size" (eg. 32 px) and "maximum with" (48 px)
